II Online Training Cycle of the Web of Science database

The FECYT, together with Clarivate, has organized the II Online Training Cycle of the Web of Science database that will take place throughout the second semester of 2026, with the aim of making known the updates, changes and new features of this database, through several free sessions, in Spanish, lasting 60 minutes, and that will be developed over the coming months. The sessions offered for the month of september 2026 are:

Tuesday, September 15 ' 1:30-2:30 PM

Session A1 - Getting Started with Web of Science (Basic Level)

• Access Web of Science through my institutional subscription
• Smart Search or Advanced Search?
• Find links to full-text articles

Wednesday, September 16 ' 1:30-2:30 PM

Session A2 - Searching in Web of Science and Saving My Searches (Basic Level)

• Work with a personal account to save my work
• Search for a topic using Boolean operators
• Use my search history to save searches and create alerts
• Save references to marked lists

Thursday, September 17 ' 1:30-2:30 PM

Session A3 - Identifying the Most Important Documents with Web of Science (Basic Level)

• Identify retracted articles
• Use filters to identify the most relevant results
• Identify the most cited documents within their context
• Export a list of publications

As usual, it should be remembered that these sessions are open and aimed at all students, researchers and users who are part of any Spanish R&D&I institution with a WoS license.

You can consult all the sessions and formalize your prior registration through this link. The first time you access it, you will be asked to validate yourself in SABiDi with your university credentials. From here, you can choose the session or sessions of your interest. Use the URV institutional email when filling out the registration form. Once formalized, you will receive a confirmation email that you must save because it contains the link to access the session on the indicated day and time. Check your spam folder if you have not received it.

All users who take the courses and answer 100% of all the online questions that will be asked live throughout the session will receive a satisfaction survey by email and, a few weeks later, the certificate of attendance.
