DESCRIPTION:The Universitat Rovira i Virgili presents the exhibition Open A
 ccess and Publications. Books\, Magazines and Digitized Collections of the
  URV\, which highlights the URV&#39\;s commitment to the dissemination of 
 knowledge\, historical memory and open access.\n\nThe exhibition presents 
 more than 500 monographs and several academic journals available in open a
 ccess through the portals llibres.urv.cat and revistes.urv.cat. Three work
 s stand out: &quot\;The Last Days of Republican Catalonia&quot\; by Antoni
  Rovira i Virgili\, &quot\;A Story of Women in Struggle&quot\; by Ángeles
  de la Fuente\, and &quot\;Surviving Franco&#39\;s Prisons&quot\; by Rosa 
 Vilaró.\n\nAlso on display are several digitized documentary collections\
 , such as the Antoni Rovira i Virgili Collection\, with historical\, polit
 ical\, and literary texts published between 1905 and 1939\; the Operatic B
 ook Collection\, with 219 opera librettos performed in Barcelona between 1
 820 and 1900\; the Daniel Vilaró Collection\, with nearly 300 letters wri
 tten from Francoist prisons between 1939 and 1943\; and the Valmeline Fund
 \, which documents the women&#39\;s labor struggle between 1961 and 1980.\
 n\nThe contents are also available in the institutional repository reposit
 ori.urv.cat and on platforms such as DOAB\, Europeana and Internet Archive
 . The exhibition celebrates the 30/20 anniversary of the Language and Publ
 ication Service and shows the processes that make open access possible: di
 gitization\, cataloguing\, preservation and dissemination. The URV thus re
 affirms its commitment to open\, inclusive and accessible science. As Rovi
 ra i Virgili said\, culture is &quot\;freedom made a habit&quot\;\, and th
 is exhibition is living proof of this.\n\nThe exhibition\, which can be vi
 sited from December 15 to January 11\, 2026 at the CRAI Medicine and Healt
 h Sciences\, will be itinerant and will be exhibited at the different CRAI
  locations of the URV.
