SUMMARY:Exhibition \"Souvernir Art 2026\" at CRAI campus Vila-seca
CLASS:PUBLIC
DESCRIPTION:The SouvenirArt Awards are an initiative promoted by the Chair
of Innovation and Tourism Research Salou-Costa Daurada at Universitat Rovi
ra i Virgili\, the URV Foundation\, the Salou Tourism Board\, and the Tarr
agona Provincial Council. The project invites a rethinking of the traditio
nal concept of souvenirs and encourages exploring new ways of representing
the territory through artistic creation.\n\nA souvenir is a physical obje
ct that serves as a reminder of a place visited. However\, many found in t
ourist areas are based on stereotyped images that oversimplify the identit
y of a destination.\n\nSouvenirArt seeks to reverse this logic by proposin
g artistic souvenirs that\, rather than perpetuating clichés\, connect wi
th the authenticity and cultural richness of the territory.\n\nSouvenirART
2026 is a competition focused on highlighting the city&#39\;s architectur
al and historical heritage. The exhibition brings together the creations o
f 43 artists\, designers\, and artisans who offer new perspectives on the
tourist experience and invite visitors to establish a deeper\, more emotio
nal\, and meaningful connection with Salou.\n\nHelena Frías won the Souve
nirART 2026 award with the piece &quot\;Salou-Golden Modernism.&quot\; The
proposal stands out for transforming the modernist and noucentista archit
ecture of the buildings along Jaume I promenade into an innovative and acc
 essible souvenir for everyone.
