"The Corner of MMACA" at CRAI Sescelades campus

From October 22nd you will find at CRAI Sescelades campus the Corner of the Museum of Mathematics of Catalonia (MMACA), a space with manipulative mathematical proposals that will change periodically. To start with there are two interactive elements, the friendship theorem and the panda square, and also two enigmmaca. These proposals come from materials produced by the Museum of Mathematics of Catalonia, with permanent exhibitions in Cornellà de Llobregat and Tarragona.

The MMACA was established in 2006 within the Federation of Entities for the Teaching of Mathematics in Catalonia (FEEMCAT) with the support of the mathematical community, the Catalan Society of Mathematics, the Department of Education and the ICE of the UPC. The association carries out exhibitions, courses, activities and collaborations to disseminate mathematics in an interactive and attractive way. It shares the spirit of the first MATRIX conference, advocating that museum contributions should be disseminated and shared.
