Main academic social networks:

  • Academia.edu: A social network for researchers and lecturers from all over the world. Searches can be made for universities, disciplines, departments or names.
  • ResearchGATE: A network for researchers, made by researchers. It aims to find researchers and interesting projects, and encourage cooperation, debate and scientific work.
  • Publons: An internet portal that aims to harness the power of peer review and encourages researchers to publish their experiences on line. It is a startup that was created in New Zealand in 2013.
  • MyscienceWork: An academic social network that aims to encourage contact between scientists and open-access publication. OECID can be included and the researcher's statistics can be generated within the network.
