About the repository

The repository of the URV serves Rovira i Virgili University as the digital repository for the institution's research output created by the members of the URV. This includes unpublished articles (preprints), peer-reviewed articles (postprints), published articles, research datasets, end-of-degree and end-of-masters theses, doctoral theses, teaching materials, and other documents that may be of interest. It is also open to all the institutions that make up the Campus of International Excellence Southern Catalonia that wish to use it on a cooperative basis.

The aims of the repository are the following:

  • To increase the visibility of the authors of the teaching and research output and the visibility of the URV as a university and research institution.
  • To provide free access to the repository in accordance with the Open access institutional policy(Governing Council, February 25, 2016).
  • To add value to teaching and research output and to provide permanent identifiers and preservation mechanisms.

The metadata of the materials deposited in the URV institutional repository has a CC-by 3.0 ES license Creative Commons CC-by 3.0 ES. This license authorizes the materials to be shared, as long as the authorship is acknowledged.

This license refers exclusively to the metadata associated with the deposited documents and at no time it replaces or alters the licenses and permissions of each of them.

The URV institutional repository guarantees perpetual access and preservation of its files by storing them in secure servers of the university and it meets the technical requirements to ensure interoperability with other information systems.
