Antoni Rovira i Virgili was a Catalan journalist, historian and politician. Defender of Catalanism and democracy, he presided over the Parliament of Catalonia in exile and gave his name to our university.
His intellectual work and political commitment make him a key figure in understanding Catalan culture and identity in the 20th century. With this exhibition we present a collection of his work and personal legacy to bring him closer to the entire university community.
The exhibition is organized by URV Publications, the Learning and Research Resources Centre and the Science Communication and Dissemination Unit of the Rovira i Virgili University.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition, by Maria Calvet, great-granddaughter of the journalist, politician and writer, will take place on November 26 at 12:00 in the lobby of the CRAI campus Catalunya.
