From the Social Rights and Participation Area, Equality Policies Department, Vila-seca City Council, within the framework of the International Day of March 8, promotes the visibility of the women of Vila-seca through participatory actions.
These 4 murals exhibited here have been produced through a participatory action on the occasion of March 8, International Women's Day.
A participatory action where the women of Vila-seca have been doubly protagonists. Protagonists in the what and in the how. Creators of the content and the continent that you can observe here.
Under the motto All Women, visibility has been given through plastic expression to the different narratives of women who form the citizens of Vila-seca, in its three cores; Vila-seca, La Pineda and La Plana.
Through five illustration workshops, the women of Vila-seca have explained their experience as women, using plastic language they have created images and symbols that connect them with the experience of being a woman. These images and symbols have been the material that the illustrator, Namíbia Coronado, has used to compose these 4 murals that you can see here today.
Namíbia Coronado, an illustrator from Tarragona born in Barcelona, currently residing in Tarragona, has studied Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona and advertising graphics at the Tarragona School of Art.
