Exhibition “Cybersecurity. Challenges and opportunities of the present and future" at CRAI Medicine and Health Sciences

Reus Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences CRAI Medicina i Ciències de la Salut

08:00 h

The CRISES research group of the Rovira i Virgili University (URV) has led the, Hermes Strategic Project for the last two years, an initiative co-financed by the National Institute of Cybersecurity (INCIBE) with European funds from the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.

The objective of the project is to consolidate high-level research in various areas of cybersecurity and transfer these results to society. The "Hermes Project" combines a scientific aspect focused on technological innovations, such as cryptography resistant to quantum attacks, privacy protection in decentralized artificial intelligence systems or security certification in connected device environments, with a broad training and information program aimed at students, companies and citizens as well as productive sectors.

Based on the materials prepared for the project, an informational dossier on cybersecurity and the group's lines of work has been published, and this small exhibition has been prepared to bring technological concepts closer to the general public.

This didactic repertoire includes current challenges such as the increase in global cyberattacks, the importance of protecting personal data and advances in technologies that guarantee more secure systems.

CRISES' leadership in the "Hermes Project" reaffirms the URV as a European benchmark in cybersecurity research and education, with scientific, social and business impact, and with a strong commitment to knowledge transfer in an increasingly complex and interconnected technological environment.

The exhibition, which is on display at the CRAI Medicine and Health Sciences from January 29 to February 10, will be traveling and will tour the rest of the CRAI's locations.
