Exhibition "Artists' Books: Heritage Pathways and Constructions of Identity" at the Sescelades campus CRAI

Tarragona Sescelades Campus CRAI campus Sescelades

08:00 h

The Aula d’Art of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili presents the exhibition Artists' Books: Heritage Pathways and Constructions of Identity, a project showcasing the work carried out by second-year students of the Primary Education Degree within the course Teaching and Learning of Visual and Plastic Arts I.

The exhibition explores the relationships between heritage, city, and identity through visual arts. Through the creation of artists' books, students have developed visual narratives based on personal routes through their everyday environments, highlighting the observation of the urban landscape, memory, and subjective experiences.

The exhibited works, created using techniques such as photography, collage, and other visual procedures, become visual metaphors that reflect the diversity of identities and perspectives present within the group.

The exhibition also includes a photographic series focused on the city of Tarragona, arising from a fieldwork experience aimed at rethinking urban space from an artistic and critical perspective.

The exhibition has been curated by Ester Fabregat Molné and is part of the Teaching Innovation programme Art Education in Action: Deep Learning and Transformative Experiences.
