Exhibition "Silenced Voices" at Vila-seca campus CRAI
From to
The Vila-seca campus CRAI hosts the "Silenced Voices" exhibition, a project with which the Journalists' Association of Catalonia wants to pay tribute to the journalists murdered in Gaza, Lebanon and Israel.
This exhibition is a project that began in December 2023 at the Barcelona headquarters of the Journalists' Association of Catalonia. In the fall of 2024, given the persistence of the conflict and the increase in victims, the Journalism for Peace Working Group decided to expand this tribute and bring it to journalism universities in Catalonia to raise awareness about the risks of the profession in war zones and the fundamental role of journalism as a guarantor of the right to information.
It also wants to honor, vindicate and remember the 173 information professionals who have been murdered in the area since the conflict between Palestine and Israel escalated violently in October 2023.
The exhibition will be exhibited at all CRAI headquarters of the URV and, as a conclusion, will be installed from January 12 to 25, 2026 at the CRAI campus Catalunya, the center where degrees in Journalism and Audiovisual Communication are taught.

Exhibition "Portraits of Wine" at the Sescelades campus CRAI
From to
The exhibition Portraits of Wine presents Ruth Troyano's book collection, with photographs by Maoz Eliakim of profiles of oenologists who have trained at the Faculty of Oenology of the Rovira i Virgili University in Tarragona. Landscapes, winemaking practices and diverse professional profiles, but with a single way of understanding wine: with passion and with the conviction that the bond with the land is as decisive as the art, craftsmanship, technique and science that come together when making wine.

Exhibition "Un dimanche après-midi a l'Île de la Grande Jatte" at Catalunya campus CRAI
From to
This Monday, April 14, the URV Art Classroom invites you to the inauguration of the exhibition "Un dimanche après-midi à l'Île de la Grande Jatte" by artist Lidia Porcar.
You can visit this exhibition in the lobby of CRAI campus Catalunya from April 14 to May 10.
Lídia Porcar fills the notebooks of our childhood with designs from another era. Elevations of modernist architecture, planes of companies that no longer exist, circles and crosses, are distributed between lines and grids, reminding us of the patterned paper in a newborn's room, also of the weightless floating figures of the first video games; he looks for them in magazines, in old books, in the early days of the internet
He enlarges the drawings and spreads them across the windows of the CRAI as part of one of his experiments. As if they were informational posters, or posters calling for a university strike, the gridded sheets conquer this room. Reminding us in a close-up of the brushstrokes of La grande Jatte, or the photographs of Antonioni's Blow Up, Porcar's enlarged figures are distorted; the low resolution muddies the plot, adds layers and meanings
Un dimanche après-midi a l'Île de la Grande Jatte, seems to tell us about the tranquility of an afternoon in a park on the Seine, the apparent innocence and joy of childlike figures, but, if we look closely, it becomes a correct omen, a warning of future violence, ready to be fulfilled.

Exhibition "Surviving Franco's Prisons: Epistolary Testimony from 1939 to 1943" at the Catalunya campus CRAI
From to
URV Publications invites you to visit the exhibition "Surviving Franco's Prisons: Epistolary Testimony from 1939 to 1943" at CRAI campus Catalunya.
The exhibition offers visitors an intimate and moving look at the prison reality of the post-Franco war through the letters that Daniel Vilaró Rius wrote to his family between July 1939 and August 1943. The exhibition, based on the study of 240 letters sent from three different prisons, offers direct testimony of the repressive regime and the living conditions of political prisoners at the time.
The letters reflect with intensity the psychological impact of the defeat, the harshness of the summary trials and the uncertainty that hung over the day to day in prison. Also present are the fear, misery and emotional deprivation caused by the family separation. Through Vilaró's words, the suffering of not being able to exercise any of the family roles emerges, but also the moral resistance and the struggle to maintain hope.
The exhibition highlights the will to survive, not only physically but also emotionally, as an act of political resistance. It does so by showing the mechanisms of mutual support, the solidarity between prisoners and the fundamental role of family and social networks outside. A journey that invites reflection on historical memory, dignity and the human capacity for resistance in the face of adversity.
