Exhibition "Work, rights and dignity in a feminist key" at the Catalunya campus CRAI

From to

Catalunya campus CRAI

The exhibition, organized by SETEM, aims to make visible, based on 3 research processes carried out between 2020 and 2023, the state of the working conditions of female workers in the supply chains of different productive and reproductive sectors: textile, electronics and food.

The most relevant aspects in relation to the 3 sectors are made visible, studying their causes, the most notable aspects regarding the violations of women's fundamental rights, and applying a gender and human rights perspective, and a critical view from the contributions of feminisms.

Specifically, it adresses: the situation and impact of land grabbing in Guatemala -(specifically, in the case of the banana and oil palm monoculture in La Blanca); the profiles and working conditions in the textile sector of Tangier, Morocco and, finally, the working conditions of female workers in electronics factories in the Philippines.
