From the Catalunya Campus CRAI we want to commemorate the birth of the poet and translator of our region Montserrat Abelló Soler (Tarragona, 1918 - Barcelona, 2014).
Called "The Poet of the Smile", she lived through turbulent historical moments (Republic, War, exile...) that would mark her work, always committed to the fight for women's rights and against gender inequalities.
She was awarded the 40th Honorary Prize for Catalan Literature and the National Culture Prize.
We invite you to get to know the voice of the women of their time through the books you will find in our CRAI.
