“Train, Accredit, Empower yourself” campaign of the European Documentation Center of the URV

The "Train, Accredit, Empower yourself" campaign of the European Documentation Center of the URV together with Europe Direct Tarragona wants to highlight all the resources that the European Union offers to its citizens to develop new skills.
Among other initiatives, tablecloths will be distributed in the cafeterias of the Catalunya, Sescelades and Bellissens campuses, and a guide has been prepared.

Exhibition "In/Out/Here" at the Catalunya campus CRAI

The URV Art Room, in its programming, has invited the artist Manuel Alcalá to exhibit his work at the CRAI Campus Catalunya. The exhibition, under the number "Dins/Ara/Aquí", can be visited from October 20 to November 16.
The Aula de Arte de URV introduces us to the artistic work of Manuel Alcalá where "the trajectories overlap, grow following imaginary lines of flight, monochrome planes that add up to build three-dimensional bodies..."
This exhibition was inaugurated on October 20, where the Op Art video was shown showing the artist's working methodology and putting his work in context.

Exhibition "Views of the World" at the Terres de l'Ebre campus CRAI

The exhibition consists of six panels of "Women of the World" that are the result of a project carried out by the NGO Mirades del Món and the Óscar Romero Solidarity Committee.
During the 2022/2023 academic year, 3rd grade students from six schools in Tarragona (La Salle Tarragona, Marcel·lí Domingo School, Lestonnac Tarragona School, CampClar School, CEEP Sant Rafael and El Serrallo School) have learned the reality of six women from the world with the help of different NGOs that work with children and women around the world (ECCIT, Fundación Vicente Ferrer, Aldea Yanapay, AfricaNdoto, Kolam, Proide and Dream Nepal). Once the schools have learned about the reality of women, several illustrators have helped the children make an illustration of the different realities.
The children who made the drawings are: Berta Artigal, Carla Brota, Namibia Coronado, Tati Ayala, Vanessa Castro and Gabriela Basin.
Center of interest "A Terrifying Chestnut: Readings and Cinema" at the Catalunya campus CRAI

Promotion of the URV's participatory budgets from the campus CRAI

What would you allocate €50,000 towards? The URV has launched a participatory budgeting campaign aimed at students of the university community. Until 30 November, proposals for projects to improve the University can be submitted.
During this period, the CRAI joins the promotion of the initiative through a roll-up that will circulate through all the CRAI of the campus.

The period for public exhibition and presentation of amendments or comments on the Strategic Plan of the CRAI is now open

Throughout the year 2023, a technical work team, with the participation of the CRAI Users Commission, has drawn up the initial proposal for the CRAI Strategic Plan 2024-2027.
From October 27 to November 12, the document's public information period opens and the entire university community is invited to collaborate by providing amendments, comments or suggestions to improve it together.
The document is available at the following link CRAI Strategic Plan Proposal 2024-2027 and to make contributions you must send an email to crai@urv.cat, with the subject "Amendments or comments to the CRAI Strategic Plan ".
The work committee will collect the contributions and the resulting text will be published and proposed to the Claustre for its final approval.

Exhibition "An ocean of letters: 50 portraits of Spanish, Portuguese and Ibero-American writers" at the Catalunya campus CRAI

The proposal and invitation for the Department of Romance Philologies to organize the exhibition "An ocean of letters: 50 portraits of Spanish, Portuguese and Ibero-American writers" came from the Union of Professional Journalists of Romania, endorsed by the names of: Mr. Nicolae Ionita, dr. Marian Nencescu, Director of the Department of Culture of the Union of Journalists and Acad. Prof. Dr. Gheorghe Paun.
Mr. Nicolae Ionita has connections in the context of graphic artists in the world and is known in Romania for organizing various exhibitions in his country and abroad with portraits of Romanian writers and for having published several albums and catalogs with personal creations or in collaboration. This year he has launched a large-scale action: an international competition of portraits of the world's great writers: "Tribute to the Great Writers on the World."
In the contest, 500 artists participated and sent more than 2,000 portraits. Drawings by 200 artists from 55 countries have been selected. The Union of Journalists sent invitations to organize exhibitions in various institutions around the world. 64 cultural institutions registered and were able to freely choose portraits of writers. The Department of Romance Philologies of the Rovira i Virgili University has shown interest in the proposal and it can be visited in the lobby of the CRAI Catalunya campus from November 13 to 18, 2023.
Dr. Mª Dolores Jiménez, Dr. Mª José Rodríguez, Dr. Mª Isabel Calle, Dr. Lilica Voicu and Mr. Santiago Montes have participated in the organization of this exhibition.

Exhibition "Lingüístes al carrer" at Catalunya campus CRAI

The "Lingüístes al carrer" exhibition is a joint project of the Center for Linguistic and Literary Studies of the Central Regions of the Catalan Countries (CEL) and the Onomastic Society. This is a project, initiated by professors Àngela Buj Alfara and Jesús Bernat Agut, which aims to highlight the impact that our grammarians and lexicographers have on the marking of urban roads. The study area is the area of our language, from Salses to Guardamar and from Fraga to Alghero.
