The exhibition "Go around the world and shake your environment with a workcamp!" shows the work carried out by the Service Civil International of Catalonia, through volunteering, in order to empower society towards change, promoting social transformation at local and international level. 

It is made up of 27 panels divided into different categories. Each part is explained in an information panel and is accompanied by photographs by different authors. It also has a general panel to publicize the organization, show one of the workcamps and explain the exhibition. 

We hope that this exhibition will open you up to new experiences and encourage you to be part of this community of volunteers, participating in one of the many workcamps they offer

The exhibition takes a tour of the fighting story of women workers of the multinational tarragonine textile company Seidensticker-Valmeline. They were active subjects of labor conflict in the company between 1961 and 1980 and protagonists of struggles that are fundamental pieces of the historical memory of the women's labor movement.

Exhibition “Sachsenhausen concentration camp. Propaganda, manipulation and confrontation of narratives" at Medicine and Health Sciences CRAI

The exhibition "The concentration camp of Sachsenhausen. Propaganda, manipulation and confrontation of narratives", takes us back in history and in time to get closer to the reality that was built in the Nazi concentration camp of Sachsenhausen, located from 1936 to 1950 in the north of Berlin, in the city of Oranienburg (now the federal state of Brandenburg). And, focusing from its origins to the year 1945, it shows on the different testimonies that victims and perpetrators have left us. On the one hand the Nazis, with their propaganda photographs. On the other, we will see the version of those who were prisoners through drawings and memories of lived experiences.

The exhibition, made up of 10 roll-ups, aims to foster a critical spirit, raise awareness of the dangers of manipulation, fascism and Nazism. It also aims to somehow dignify the memory of the victims by recovering the experiences of those who were imprisoned.

Exhibition “12 years of Tarragona Comic Week” at the Sescelades Campus CRAI

Sescelades Campus CRAI

On the occasion of the presentation of the book Mirades i estudis desde la Setmana del Còmic de Tarragona, by the professor of the Department of Catalan Philology Emili Samper, an exhibition has been organized a sample of the posters of the lasts twelve editions. The posters combine the comic and the city of Tarragona and have been made, in each edition, by a member of Delirópolis or by a guest author of recognized prestige. Each poster has its own style.

The exhibition is complemented by an audiovisual and selected comics from the CRAI collection and is curated by URV Publications and the Guillem Oliver Center for Historical and Social Studies.

Extraordinary online training of the SCOPUS database

From May 9 to 20, FECYT and Elsevier organize the 1st extraordinary cycle of online training of the Scopus database. Its objective is make to researchers, students and library staff aware of the updates and new functionalities designed for institutions.

In this edition the following 10 free courses have been scheduled, lasting one hour and in Spanish. Registration is open:

All of them can be followed by PC or with the mobile through the free GotoMeeting app. Recorded sessions and material from other Scopus and Web of Science courses can also be downloaded.

You can consult all the sessions and formalize the registration through this link. The first time, it will ask for validation in SABiDi, use your university credentials.

Choose the session or sessions of your interest, using the institutional mail of the URV at the time of filling in the registration form.

You will receive a confirmation email that must be saved because it contains the access link to the session, day and time indicated. Check the "junk/SPAM" mail folder in case you don't receive it.

  • Support to Enrollment: if you have any problems in the registration process, consult the following tutorial. If you can't solve it, use the institutional email recursoscientificos(ELIMINAR)@fecyt.es to send the description of the problem and a screenshot of the error.
  • Certification: during the sessions it will be necessary to respond live to all the questions that the trainers you ask. The next day, once the sessions have finished, you will have to fill out an evaluation survey that will be sent to you by email. After a few weeks, will be sent to you a certificate of attendance.

Catalunya Campus CRAI

The URV Art Classroom, as part of the spring "Green Culture" program, exhibits the animalistic installation "Happy Super Happy", by the visual artist Freya Day.

Through this installation, which emphasizes animalism and antispeciesism as the backbone of the exhibited pieces the aim is to raise awareness of the care and protection of the environment from the perspective of contemporary art and cultures.

At a time of climate emergency, we cannot ignore the ecological problem of macro farms, nor look the other way with the terrible reality of animals destined to be objects of consumption.

In this framework the exhibition will challenge you and will not leave you indifferent.

The CRAI participates in the URV Open Days

The CRAI participates in the URV Open Days which are held:

  • Feb. 19, 10 a.m. or 12 p.m.
  • April 1, 5 or 7 p.m.
  • May 14 at 10 a.m. or noon.

During these days, future students and their families can visit the CRAI facilities and learn about the services we offer.
