Centers of interest "International Day of Women and Girls in Science (February 11)"

Campus CRAI and virtual

On the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, the campus CRAIs have centers of interest with resources related to women and science. Movies, illustrated books, essay books and games are some of the materials that can be viewed and also borrowed.

In addition, a virtual guide has been prepared. It contains resources available at the CRAI on women scientists, a compilation on women and science at the URV and other links and materials of interest related to the subject.

These centers of interest are framed within the program of activities of the University for 11F.

Coinciding with the XVI Green Chemistry Conference, organized by the Faculty of Chemistry, the Sescelades campus CRAI exposes the "Chemistry and Ethics" center of interest, made up of documents available at the CRAI related to the conference motto.

Center of interest "Fund acquired with the URV-Diputació Agreement" at the Vila-seca campus CRAI

Virtual and Vila-seca campus CRAI

The Vila-Seca campus CRAI has prepared a center of interest with the materials recently acquired thanks to the URV Agreement with the Tarragona Provincial Council: board games, popular books, high school readings, language books, etc.

Located in the CRAI lobby, it consists of the collection of documents and board games acquired. It can also be consulted online in the guide Vila-seca campus CRAI: High School Books.

The Agreement facilitates access for high school students and higher vocational training cycles from Tortosa, Roquetes, Vila-Seca, Comarruga and El Vendrell to the CRAI of the URV, at its headquarters on the Terres de l'Ebre, Vila-Seca and Baix Penedès campuses, respectively.

Exhibition "Agricultural collectivities in the Penedès, 1936-1939" at the Catalunya campus CRAI

Lobby of the Catalunya campus CRAI

The exhibition is curated by Ramon Arnabat Mata and Guillem Puig Valverdú and produced by the Instituto de Estudios Penedesenses with the support of the Democratic Memorial and the Ministry of the Presidency. Through 15 panels, the formation and operation of the agricultural communities in Penedès during the Spanish Civil War are explained. The objective is to facilitate the understanding of these community peasant initiatives within the framework of the economic and social transformations that took place in Catalonia from July 1936.

Center of interest "World Day for Rare Diseases (February 28)" of the Medicine and Health Sciences CRAI

Virtual and Medicine and Health Sciences CRAI

On the occasion of World Day for Rare Diseases, which is celebrated on February 28, the Medicine and Health Sciences CRAI offers a collection of resources on the subject. The objective of this world day, promoted by the European Organization for Minority Diseases (EURORDIS), is to raise awareness of rare diseases and position them as a social and health priority.

Rare diseases are serious, rare and affect 5 out of 10,000 people. There are more than 7,000, 80% of which are of genetic origin. They generally involve various organs and affect the physical capacities, mental abilities, and sensory and behavioral qualities of the sufferers. They can appear from birth or childhood, but some do not manifest until adulthood.

The center of interest is available in the lobby of the Medicine and Health Sciences CRAI and the online version can also be consulted.

The CRAI participates in the Open Days of the URV

The CRAI participates in the URV Open Days that take place on:

  •     February 24, Friday, from 5 to 7 p.m. or from 7 to 9 p.m., depending on the center.
  •     April 22, Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. or from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., depending on the center.

In these days, future students and their families can visit the CRAI facilities and find out about the services and resources that are offered.
